Built by an Education Attorney. Designed for Everyone in the Building.

ResolvED Academy offers two professional learning tracks built from the inside out, developed by the attorney districts didn't want to see across the table. The General Education Track gives every adult on campus,  teachers, aides, office staff, and administrators, the foundational conflict-resolution and communication skills that transform difficult parent interactions from something to survive into something to resolve. This is not a program that teaches staff to give in. It teaches them to negotiate, turning the most challenging family dynamics into productive conversations with real outcomes. The Special Education Track goes deeper, training IEP team members, program specialists, and SELPA staff in the procedural knowledge, facilitation skills, and legal literacy that keep families at the table and disputes out of the hearing room. Together, they create a district where nobody dreads the hard conversation — because everyone knows how to lead it.

Bring ResolvED District-Wide

Your district doesn't change by taking a class. It changes by partnering with us.

A district partnership includes:

  • Full access to every series, for every staff member, with new series added as we develop them.
  • Self-paced enrollment, so each person works through the methodology on their own schedule.
  • A completion record for every staff member who finishes a series.
  • Onboarding support to roll the methodology out across all your sites.
  • Monthly check-ins with your Director of Special Education, Director of Student Services, and/or Superintendent to review progress, address concerns, and consult directly on real situations happening in your schools.
  • Quarterly sessions with actively participating staff members to discuss how the methodology is being applied in the classroom and in everyday family interactions and to work through real scenarios together.
  • A dedicated Parent Series, so families are learning the same language, the same process, and coming to the table as informed participants, not adversaries.

The Math Districts Can't Ignore

One unresolved dispute can cost a district more than training its entire staff for a year. A pattern of them can cost millions.

Special education litigation has become a budget crisis for districts nationwide. In New York City, special education placement spending tied to disputes climbed from $47 million in 2005 to $1.3 billion in fiscal year 2025 and the average settlement now tops $101,000 per student. Mid-size districts feel it too: one Pennsylvania district reported more than $2 million in settlement costs in a single year, plus a quarter-million in its own legal fees.

These numbers share a root cause. The disputes that drain budgets aren't usually one-off accidents, they're the product of a culture where conflict escalates, trust between families and staff erodes, and the same problems resurface because nothing upstream has changed. That isn't solved by a one-time training. It's solved by building conflict-resolution capacity across your district and sustaining it year over year.

That's why ResolvED is an ongoing partnership, not a one-off purchase. An annual district license keeps every staff member trained as your team turns over, gives you access to every new series as we release it, and steadily shifts your district from reacting to disputes toward preventing them. For districts ready to commit to lasting change, we also offer multi-year exclusive engagements.

A full year of ResolvED costs a fraction of a single settlement. The investment pays for itself the first time a dispute is resolved before it escalates and compounds every year the culture holds.

A Documented Investment in Your Staff

Every staff member who completes a series receives a certificate of completion. For districts, that creates a documented record of the professional development you've provided your team, useful for demonstrating your investment in staff growth and for your own internal PD tracking.

It's a concrete way to show your community, your board, and your educators that you're equipping your people with real conflict-resolution skills, not just reacting to disputes after they happen.
